Description

Polyester geogrid is a kind of geosynthetic material. It is made of high-strength polyester yarns. These yarns are knitted or woven into a grid-like structure that are coated with a protective polymer coating. And polyester geogrid’s strength can be very high, with design values of up to possible 1000 kN/m. The strength of a geogrid allows positive reinforcement of embankments, steep slopes, retaining walls and other vertical soil structures. Geogrids interlock with the soil providing long term reinforcement and are the most cost-effective method of creating additional horizontal space. Polyester geogrids have excellent long term creep performance.

Types of Polyester Geogrid

Wrap Knitting Polyester Geogrid

They are unique for their high tensile strength yarns which are carefully interlocked for optimal performance. Usually, they form grid like structure through a process known as warp knitting.

Bi-directional Woven Polyester Geogrid Fabric

It is a type of polyester fabric material having equal strength in both transverse and longitudinal direction. This help it to distribute tensile forces in the two direction enhancing load bearing capacity.

Polyester Uniaxial Geogrid

Type of polyester material consisting of high strength polyester fibers arranged in a rectangular grid aperture shape. This is a type of polyester geogrid that is designed to provide reinforcement in only one direction.

Biaxial Woven Geogrid from Polyester
