Geosynthetic Clay Liner

Specification: Geosynthetic Clay Liner

Specification: GCL4000gsm,GCL4500gsm,GCL5000gsm

Size:5.8*30m/Roll and customized

Description

GCL is a reinforced Geosynthetic Clay Liner composite, consisting of a layer of sodium bentonite granules encapsulated by layers of durable geotextiles and shear reinforced by needle punching together all components.

The material is typically anchored in a trench around the perimeter of a containment basin to provide the required pullout resistance. Geosynthetic Clay Liner should be placed in the trench extending down the inside wall face and along the entire trench floor, secured by the controlled placement and compaction of backfill into the trench prior to placing cover soil on the slopes.

Geosynthetic Clay Liner is ideal for containment applications and provides a cost-effective engineered solution for clients and consultants.

Applications

Geosynthetic Clay Liner offer versatility across a range of applications, including landfill construction, municipal solid waste, liquid and industrial waste, and hazardous waste. They are the preferred choice for demanding applications in canals, ponds, and dams.

These liners are also well-suited for materials storage, stockpile storage, heap leach areas, groundwater protection, and structural waterproofing applications.

The versatility of Geosynthetic Clay Liner extends beyond landfills, encompassing diverse fields such as mining or transportation.

Why Choose Geosynthetic Clay Liner

Geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), play a crucial role in environmental protection by forming a barrier that prevents contamination of surrounding soil and groundwater. This barrier is essential for safeguarding the environment from the adverse impacts of industrial and waste disposal activities.

Geosynthetic clay liner is a superior-grade, needled GCL, featuring top-tier sodium bentonite sandwiched between two layers of geotextile. Fibers from the upper nonwoven are needle punched through the bentonite layer into the lower woven carrier fabric. This results in a strong mechanical bond between the geotextiles, reinforces the bentonite and keeps it in place even on steep slopes.

Geosynthetic clay liner is geo-synthetic waterproofing barrier. It is self-attaching and self -sealing to concrete or other construction structures. It is made of a non-woven geotextile, a natural sodic bentonite layer, with or without a pe geomembrane layer, and a polypropylene sheet.

These layers are connected with a dense felter that makes the bentonite a self-confinement with controlled expansion. With this system it is possible to avoid slippage and the accumulation of bentonite as a consequence of cuts, tears, vertical applications and movements.
