1. Cement blanket
It is a soft cloth impregnated with cement. It will hydrate and harden into a thin waterproof and fireproof durable concrete layer when it meets water.
The cement blanket uses a three-dimensional fiber matrix woven of polyethylene and polypropylene filaments (3D fibre matrix), and contains a specially formulated dry concrete mix. The main chemical components of calcium aluminate cement are Al2O3, CaO, SiO2, Fe2O3. The underside of the canvas is covered with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) backing to ensure that the concrete canvas is completely waterproof. During on-site construction, there is no need for any concrete mixing equipment on site, just simply water the concrete canvas or immerse the concrete canvas in water to make it hydrated. After setting, the fibers serve to reinforce the concrete and prevent cracking. At present, the thickness of the cement blanket is 10mm
2. Main features of cement blanket:
1) Easy to use
Cement blankets can be provided in bulk in large rolls. It can also be provided in rolls, which is convenient for manual loading, unloading and transportation without the need for large cranes. The concrete is prepared according to a scientific proportion, no on-site preparation is required, and excessive hydration problems will not occur. Whether under water or in sea water, the cement blanket can be solidified and formed.
2) Rapid solidification molding
Once the hydration reaction occurs after watering, the size and shape of the cement blanket can still be processed within 2 hours, and within 24 hours, it can harden to 80% of the strength. According to the special requirements of users, special formulas can also be used to achieve the purpose of rapid solidification or delayed solidification.
3) Environmentally friendly
Cement blanket is a low-quality, low-carbon technology. In many applications, the amount of material used is up to 95% less than conventional concrete. Its alkali content is limited and the scour rate is very low, so it has little impact on the local ecology.
