Geotube dredging and dewatering

Geotube is a large-volume tube bag sewn from geotextile. According to the design section and length of the tube bag, left a number of filling tubular cuffs, and the mud on the beach is washed up by high-pressure water guns. The road will pour the fine granular material with water into the prefabricated geotechnical tube bag, the water will be filtered out from the geotextile holes, and the fine sand material will be gradually consolidated and dense under its own weight and water seepage pressure. After a period of time, the embankment core will be dehydrated and consolidated. The external protective structure achieves the functions of embankment, tide-blocking, and cofferdam.photobank (4).jpg

The dredging and dewatering geotubeis made of polypropylene woven geotextile and sewn into the bag body. When filling with a mud pump, the bag cloth must meet the requirements of tensile strength, water permeability, and sand retention performance. When filling the geotube, the cuff of one end is filled with silt, and the other end of the tube is drained, which is conducive to the deposition of silt and improves the efficiency of dredging. During the filling process, the accumulation of mud and sand at the mouth of the mud pipe should be checked frequently, the position of the mouth of the mud pipe should be adjusted in time, and the cuff of mud filling should be adjusted continuously. Make the sand filling in the bag even and full, ensure the filling is smooth, and speed up the drainage and consolidation of the bag body. When the whole sand bag reaches the slurry screen stage, properly reduce the geotube machinery or stop filling to prevent the bag from bursting and leave a certain amount of consolidation Dehydration time. During the filling process, the surveyors control the top elevation of each layer of sand bags according to the geotube embankment core section drawing.
